Ojalá se derrumben las puertas (Hope the Doors Collapse) is the project conceived by artist Luciana Lamothe, together with curator Sofía Dourron, for the Argentina Pavilion at the 60th Biennale di Venezia.
At the Arsenale the artist proposes a site-specific installation, interlacing pieces of wood and pipes, and giving life to bodies and structures: spaces within spaces modulate forms of violence and hospitality in a tense equilibrium, between mutability and permanence.
The exhibition is visible at the Venice Biennale until 24 November 2024.
Watch here a recording of a conversation between the artist and Mara Sartore, which took place on Saturday, 21 September, at the Argentina Pavilion.
This online project allows readers to dive deep into it, through videos, photos and texts.
