Waste Matters - Do It Yourself

Gayle Chong Kwan
Solo show

Gayle Chong Kwan invites you to join her in creative activities to reconsider your relationship with waste. Could you reimagine waste as vibrant matter that permeates life? Can you reflect on food, recipes, and familial memories through waste?

Coinciding with the final launch of Gayle Chong Kwan's Waste Matters project, developed by the artist together with students and academics at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, as recipient of the Sustainable Art Prize in 2019, this online project gives you the opportunity to experience the development of Gayle Chong Kwan's exhibition Waste Archipelago, on view until 4 September at the Venice gallery, with a video of a performative procession in the Venetian calli, interviews, herbariums realized by the students and with works by Gayle Chong Kwan herself.
